This book is dedicated to the memory of Hrant Dink, an Istanbul journalist and editor who worked to foster dialogue between Turkish and Armenian peoples, who was prosecuted for offending Turkish identity in statements regarding Armenian history, and who was killed by a young nationalist. Gil Anidjar is Professor in the Departments of Religion and Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies (MESAAS). He is trained in Comparative Literature, Religious Studies, and Jewish Thought. His interests include Jews and Arabs, Political Theology, Race and Religion, Christianity, Rhetorical Exertion, and Continental Philosophy. In addition, he currently teaches courses in Religion
